Description

To carry out the test, one drop of blood and three drops of carrier liquid are placed in a test cassette. After 10 minutes, the test cassette is scanned with the RACORDIAX smartphone app.
The app, which can be adapted to different data protection regulations, compares the scan with a database that is saved on a cloud server in Switzerland within seconds.
A comprehensive diagnosis is then made with the aid of an algorithm supported by artificial intelligence.

Application:
A blood sample is used in the RACORDIAX COVID-19 rapid antibody test. This is taken from the fingertip with a lancet and a pipette. With this simple procedure, you can carry out the test quickly, efficiently and safely at any location.

To carry out the test, you need one drop of blood and three drops of carrier liquid (running buffer), which are placed in a test cassette.

After 10 minutes, scan the test cassette with the RACORDIAX app. The app can be adapted to different data protection regulations. Within seconds, it compares the scan with a database that is backed up on a cloud server in Switzerland.

The diagnosis of the test is then made with the help of an algorithm supported by Artificial Intelligence.

What exactly does the app scan?

The three main antibody classes IgM, IgG and IgA are identified in the test procedure. These are produced by the immune system in response to COVID-19:

  • IgM antibodies indicate the initial phase of the disease
  • IgG antibodies arise during recovery and are relevant for long-term protection
  • IgA antibodies provide information about the status of the mucous membrane protection

Possible uses:

Rapid test
Due to its efficient procedure, the rapid test is very suitable for testing a large number of people in a very short time. Thanks to the digital recording, it offers the possibility of continuous recording of the infection process.

People who have recovered may then be able to return to their normal life and work cycle, as well as travel, events and social gatherings. Of course, depending on the local regulations.

The use of RACORDIAX is ideal for fast location-independent testing, not only in public areas and at border controls, but also by large organizations, old people's and nursing homes and all essential services.

"The results of the antibody studies are of great importance in order to assess the course and severity of the pandemic more precisely and to better evaluate the effectiveness of the measures taken."
Prof. Lothar H. Wieler, President of the RKI

Vaccination test
The Raccordiax rapid antibody test can also be helpful for vaccinations. Before a vaccination, the test can quickly and reliably check whether COVID-19 antibodies are already present and thus avoid unnecessary vaccinations.

After a vaccination, the test, which can be adapted to the various vaccines, can detect the formation of COVID-19 antibodies and thus confirm a successful vaccination.

Self test
Even if it was previously only allowed to be carried out by medically trained staff, the RACORDIAX COVID-19 antibody rapid test was designed as a simple and location-independent self-test with quick app evaluation.

Approval as a self-test is subject to the respective national laws and regulations, which could soon change due to the overloading of the health systems, so that further possible uses of the test can be considered.
